We are a family run business, and our mission is to make sure you and your precious ones feel like part of the family as well.

Growing up on a farm in country New South Wales, animals were a big part of Sarah's family. Being surrounded by dogs, cats, cattle, sheep, and more, instilled an innate passion for animal care and welfare, and from a young age she had set her sights on becoming a Vet. Fast forward to 2003, Sarah graduated from the University of Queensland Veterinary school with honours and there began her career.
Over the years Sarah has gained a wealth of experience in both large and small animal practice throughout Queensland, but it has been her passion for small animal surgery that has set her apart and built a reputation as one of the most skilled, trusted and knowledgeable Veterinarians on the Sunshine Coast and beyond.
Jayney grew up an avid animal lover in Murrumbateman, Canberra, decided to turn that love into a career and started Veterinary nursing in 2001. Her instincts as a natural carer for both animals and humans saw Jayney take a break from Veterinary Nursing in 2007, to qualify and apply the same level of care for humans as a Paramedic.
In the years since, Jayney has spent time building her knowledge in both careers, caring for humans and animals alike with equal diligence and developing her uniquely warm, calm and comforting approach to client and patient care.
With so many changes occurring within the Veterinary Industry (and the world as a whole) over the last few years, Sarah and Jayney both felt moved to find a different way of practice, with a focus on developing trusting relationships and to make sure that the bond between pets and their families remained as priority above all.
Prestige Vets is the result of this shared vision, and Sarah and Jayney provide an unparalleled level of care for their patients and the highest level of service for their clients, making Prestige Vets the Sunshine Coasts leading boutique, full service Veterinary Clinic.
Julie (Jules) began her Veterinary Nursing career at the young age of 16 in her home town of Hull, starting a 6 month work experience placement at her local veterinary clinic, and staying there for the next 7 years. Jules natural talent for nursing was evident from the start, and she spent many of those early years as Team Leader despite her young age.
When Jules and her husband Dave emigrated to Australia they first settled in Melbourne, with Jules working at a cat clinic by day, as well as an emergency hospital after hours, where Dave also worked as a Veterinarian. After Melbourne, they spent time working in Coffs Harbour before settling in Maroochydore in the early 90's, where they opened their own practice. After decades of running one of the most trusted and successful clinics on the coast, they've recently sold the clinic with the intention to embark on their next adventure, retirement.
It didn't take long for Jules to give retirement a rest to work part-time alongside Sarah and Jayney, with a special interest in anaesthesia and pain management.
Jules and Dave have 4 of their own cats at home, 2 are rescues from their practice and they've recently welcomed 2 new Devon Rex babies as well. While you might not see Jules on your visit to the clinic, you can bet she's been a key part in your pet's treatment, combining her expert care with lots of cuddles!
Jules experience, capability and exceptional patient care make her
an incredible and most valued addition at Prestige vets.
Sonia grew up on the coastal beaches of Adelaide, and always had a great love for the outdoors, escpecially all kinds of wildlife and animals.
Her passion for scuba diving, sailing, snorkelling and surfing and a sense of adventure led her to travel the world for many years, with the highlight of this time being a stint working on Safari in Africa.
Career wise, Sonia worked for 15 years as an Enrolled Nurse on post surgical wards in human hospitals. When she moved to the Sunshine Coast, Sonia finally pursued a life long passion to help and care for animals, and completed a Diploma in Certificate 4 Veterinary Nursing and worked in a busy Vet clinic for 4 years.
Sonia has recently returned to Vet nursing after raising her beautiful family and spending her spare time volunteering at several animal shelters.
Her love for animals has always been a big part of her life, and she now shares that love with her 3 beautiful kelpies and all the special animals that come to Prestige Vets.
Spending her early years surrounded by animal friends on a rural property in country Victoria, Emma always dreamt of a career in the Veterinary Industry. Life took her in other directions and she has instead built a successful career growing and managing businesses across many industries, with a particular interest in authentic marketing and a passion for creative problem solving, helping people do things better, easier.
Since saying goodbye to their own beautiful dog and cat a few years ago, Emma and her husband decided to pack up their home and take their work online. They now spend as much time as they can travelling, and when they are back on the Sunshine Coast they get their animal fix by pet-sitting and taking care of other peoples homes.
Working with Prestige is a dream come true for Emma, using her expertise to manage anything and everything we need behind the scenes from wherever she is in the world. When they're not travelling you might also catch her in her favourite role of all, providing a helping hand to Dr Sarah and Jayney in the clinic, connecting in person with our community of wonderful pet owners and giving our patients plenty of pats and cuddles.
Offering 24/7 dedicated emergency vet services for Sunshine Coast pet owners, making sure our patients get the best of care when we are unable to help.
