 Pre anaesthetic blood testing allows us to evaluate your pet’s overall health status as well as giving us valuable information in determining your pets kidney and liver function, both so important in the elimination of anaesthetic medications.

While complications with anaesthetics are rare it is important for us to take every step available to us to mitigate risks associated with anaesthetics.

6-12 month old Dogs. This includes the surgery, general anaesthetic, sedation, fluids, take home pain relief, identification tattoo and post op checks.

This surcharge is for 12 months & older for small dogs and 15 months & older for large dogs. Surcharge applies for these ages as it takes longer to perform the surgery because the uterus walls are thicker after the dog has matured in age.

Females in season at the time of de-sexing will incur an additional fee.

Male Dogs requiring a scrotal ablation will incur an additional fee.

Inclusive of x-rays and pre-anaesthetic bloods

This price includes all consultations relating to the procedure 

and after care.

Typical gap payments for fully insured clients range from $900 - $1200.

This includes prearranged evening or weekend appointments. 

On occasion, Dr Sarah is able to visit without prior arrangement on weekends. Should you require an unscheduled goodbye visit and need to contact us outside of hours, please send a request HERE.
